Reversible July 4th Skirt
Brim number ii is set up to go toward my Skirt Week goal. I started this 1 a few weeks back with only the chevron part, but couldn't get happy with it. The fabric was thin and needed a lining, and I couldn't observe a navy blue trim that looked just correct. Later on much petty this is what I came upwardly with.
Since I couldn't figure out why you would really need ii skirts for an issue that but happens once a year, I fabricated this a bit more on the generic side of patriotic. It isn't like she'll be able to habiliment it adjacent summertime! 🙂
The chevron side was made using a Joann exclusive cloth that had the stripes printed on the diagonal. While this is plainly possible to work volition, I don't propose information technology! Figuring which style to cutting what was difficult plenty, only matching the tiny stripes was down correct TERRIBLE. (it besides wastes a lot of textile)
The other side and the ruffle are merely plain navy cotton fiber with a bit of hand embroidery. This was my first effort at satin sew and my big star is more than than a picayune wonky!
Hopefully I'll be able to make a tutorial for this one soon, but correct now I seem to have projects coming out my ears on summit of the potty training. But, if y'all guys similar it, I'yard certain I'll fit information technology in somewhere.
I think she was munching an Thou&M, but that face is too cute! |
Hopefully information technology notwithstanding fits when July finally rolls around.
Thanks for visiting!
(I'grand really deplorable for all the crappy pictures. I'm begging my hardest for a new camera for my birthday!)
